Saia's Mobile, AL Terminal To Relocate
The Saia Mobile, AL terminal will move operations Monday, December 16th into a more centrally located facility to better service customers in the southern Alabama area. "Be assured that our customers will experience no interruption of service with this move," said Saia Mobile Terminal Manager Miguel Cejas, "and going forward this new location should provide opportunities for even greater service." The facility will be a stand-alone, traditional freight building with more doors and office space, a larger dock and more parking than the company's previous Mobile location. "We are excited about our new location and look forward to providing quality service to our customers," said Cejas. "We continually work to improve our on-time service," he added. "On-time pick-up and on-time delivery are two of the major components in measuring how well we handle our customer’s freight." Saia measures six primary indicators developed as the result of in-depth research from customers making transportation buying decisions. Those six indicators, referred to as Saia's Customer Service Indicators, (CSIs) include, in addition to on-time delivery and on-time pick-up, claims-free shipment percentage, claims settled within 30 days, proof of delivery (POD) turnaround and invoicing accuracy. Saia is the only carrier in its class to publish a Customer Service Indicator index, making those results available to its customers.
