Saia Promotes Phil Jennings To Added Responsibility

Phil Jennings, Saia director of process and development, has assumed additional responsibilities in operations services, according to Saia Senior Vice President of Operations and Sales Tony Albanese. "Two very important areas, safety and training, have been aligned with operations services and will now be overseen by Jennings," Albanese said.

Jennings, whose new title will be director of process and development, safety and training, has served in various capacities during his 16 years with Saia, including terminal manager in Memphis, TN and regional manager in Memphis and in Dallas, TX. He was promoted to director of process and development three years ago.

In addition to his previous duties, Jennings' safety responsibilities include assuring that new drivers meet company and DOT regulations, that there will be continuous safety training, as well as assuring compliance of all government regulations.

His training responsibilities include overseeing development and implementation of operations training for managers and supervisors, training for sales reps and development and implementation of all company training programs.
