Saia Now Offers Overnight Service From Pocatello, ID To Boise, ID And Twin Falls, ID
Saia announced today that the company would offer one-day transit service from Pocatello, ID to Boise, ID and Twin Falls, ID. "Our customers in the Pocatello area have indicated to us the importance of one-day service to these communities in the Idaho area, and we are happy to announce this new transit time improvement," said Tony Albanese, senior vice president of operations and sales. "Improving transit times has been a high priority for Saia and we have placed a strong emphasis on delivering the types of service that our customers have said are most useful to them," he said. "Also, we are continuously working to improve our on-time service. On-time delivery and on-time pickup are two of the major components in measuring how well we handle our customer's freight," he added. Saia measures six primary indicators developed as the result of in-depth research from customers making transportation buying decisions. Those six indicators, referred to as the Saia Customer Service Indicators, include, in addition to on-time delivery and on-time pickup, claims-free shipment percentage, claims settled within 30 days, proof of delivery (POD) turnaround and invoicing accuracy. Saia is the only carrier in its class to publish a Customer Service Indicator Index, making those results available to its customers. "Our goal is to provide a higher level of service and customer satisfaction," Albanese said.
