Saia Wins Lowe’s Bronze Team Award

Saia has received another honor, receiving Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse "2001 Bronze Team Award" during Lowe’s Transportation Conference held on February 1.

Robert Long, LTL Services Manager for Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse presented the award to Saia Senior Vice President of Operations and Sales Tony Albanese. The award was presented to Saia for exceeding Lowe's GAP Compliance Goal.

According to Albanese, GAP is one of Lowe's key partnership audit measurements which is used to evaluate whether shipments are delivered timely to Lowe's Stores by carrier delivering terminals. In order to become Gap compliant, the carrier must deliver consistently each Lowe's shipment the same day it arrives to the destination facility.

The inscription on the award reads: "Presented to Saia for consistently providing Lowe's with the highest level of delivered service." Albanese added, "We are excited about the partnership we have with Lowe's and appreciate this service recognition."
