The Saia “10-10-31” Campaign For Victims and Families Of Terrorism Raises More Than $50,000

Saia has completed its six-week campaign to raise funds for the victims, families and communities affected by the Sept. 11th terrorists’ attacks in Washington D.C., New York and Pennsylvania.

The company’s campaign was called "10-10-31" which stood for 10-cents contributed from each freight bill, with a goal of $10,000 a week in contributions, over 31 work days (which began Sept. 19) and continued through October 31.

For the past month and a half, Saia and its customers raised $53,252 to go to The September 11th Fund, a fund to be used for the immediate and longer-term needs of the victims, their families and communities affected by the horrific events.

"We appreciate the support of our customers during this campaign period," said Saia President and CEO Rick O’Dell. "We hope the funds will provide some relief to the victims and families of this horrible event."
