Saia Receives Ciba Colors Carrier Of Quarter Award
Saia has been named the Ciba Specialty Chemicals, Colors Division Carrier of the Quarter, it was announced recently by Jim Brim, Ciba Transportation Department. "Congratulations to Saia for their great performance in the first quarter of 2001," said Brim. "For that performance, Saia was named the top performer in the Colors Division carrier assessment program." Tony Albanese, senior vice president of operations and sales for Saia, said the honor was the result of the company’s overall service provided to Ciba. "We appreciate being recognized by such an outstanding organization as Ciba," said Albanese. "And our team is to be congratulated for a great job." Saia Atlanta Regional Sales Manager Karen Fortson said Ciba graded Saia in three main areas: on time transit, claims free shipments and invoicing accuracy. "Only one carrier can win this award each quarter," said Fortson. "Of all the carriers that serve them, we were the only one recognized based on their assessment of our service." Fortson said it was the second time in three quarters that Saia has received the quarterly award from Ciba Colors.
