Four Saia Employees Receive Yellow Corp. Chairman’s Award
ATLANTA, GA – Four Saia employees have been selected as Chairman’s Award winners for 2001, and were honored at Yellow Corporation’s annual shareholders meeting at the general office in Overland Park, Kansas. Saia winners are Paul Ellender, programmer, Houma General Office; Ginger McElhannon, marketing coordinator, Atlanta Corporate Office; David Montie, city driver in Lake Charles, LA; and Shawn Rush, terminal manager, Oakland, CA. They were four of 14 Yellow Corporation employees recognized at the meeting. The Chairman’s Award, which began in 1997, recognizes and rewards outstanding Yellow Corporation employees who make exceptional contributions to the success of the company. Saia is a member of Yellow Corporation’s Regional Carrier Group. In addition to attending Yellow Corporation’s shareholders meeting, the group was honored at the conclusion of the meeting during a formal recognition and presentation ceremony. The four also attended a special dinner. The winners were selected on the following basis: Paul Ellender and Ginger McElhannon: Working as a team to enhance the company’s Internet site. David Montie: Consistently providing superior customer service and productivity while exceeding company goals. Shawn Rush: Providing superior management of operations and attention to details.
