Growth Spurs Saia Moves To New Locations In Jackson, MS And Greenville, SC
Saia will be operating in a newly constructed terminal on eight acres near Jackson, MS on Monday, April 30, and in a new location near Greenville, SC on April 23rd. "There is a lot of excitement in our organization right now, and we believe these moves will position us to be the leader in the one and two day markets in these busy growth sections of the south," said Saia President and CEO Rick O’Dell. "We look forward to growing with the businesses in these areas." The Jackson, MS terminal (located in Richland) features 37 doors, 13 more than the older facility, and also will include a maintenance shop. The office will be approximately 2,000 square feet and the dock will have a total of 11,520 square feet. Featured in the 3,750 square foot maintenance shop will be a wash bay area. And parking will accommodate 60 trailers, 35 tractors and approximately 50 automobiles. The new address will be: 110 D.I. Drive, Richland, MS 39218, and the new telephone number will be 601-932-0721. Saia also will be operating from a new location on Monday, April 23rd, when employees move the Greenville, SC terminal to 1887 South Highway 14 in Greer, SC. “This location will give us the space needed to provide superior service to our customers throughout this area,” said O’Dell. Saia will be moving about eight miles from a location in Duncan, SC. The new terminal location has 38 doors, 14 more doors than the former location. "We also will have much more operating space. We will have parking spaces for approximately 100 trailers on eight-acres," said O’Dell.
