Saia Now Offers One-Day Service From Fort Smith To Houston
Saia Motor Freight Line announced today that the company would offer one-day transit service from Fort Smith, AR to Houston, TX. “Our customers in the Fort Smith area have indicated to us the importance of one-day service to Houston, and we are happy to announce this new service enhancement,” said Tony Albanese, senior vice president of operations and sales. “Improving transit times has been a high priority for Saia this year and we have placed a strong emphasis on delivering the types of service that our customers have said are most useful to them,” he said. “Also, as a part of the new transit time feature, we are continuously working to improve our on-time service,” said Albanese. “On-time delivery and on-time pick-up are two of the major components in measuring how well we handle our customer’s freight.” Saia measures six primary indicators developed as the result of in-depth research from customers making transportation buying decisions.
