Saia Driver Honored by National Safety Council
JOHNS CREEK, GA - Oct. 4, 2011 - Saia, Inc. (NASDAQ: SAIA) is pleased to announce that Saia City Driver Robyn Rabalais, who is domiciled at the company's New Orleans terminal, has been recognized with the National Safety Council's (NSC) 2011 "Safe Driver Award of Honor" for the South Atlantic Region for "displaying outstanding safe driving practices and achieving an exceptional number of years and/or miles driven without a preventable accident." The Safe Driver Awards Program is a non-competitive, member-exclusive program designed to help organizations recognize the safe driving performance of individuals and fleets. Eligible participants include all employees who drive an employer-owned or leased vehicle as part of their regular daily assignments. Recipients of the award must meet the minimum criteria of having driven 15 years or 250,000 miles without having had a preventable accident. Rabalais has worked at Saia since 1973.
