Saia Motor Freight Names Three New Terminal Managers
Three new terminal managers have been named this week, it was announced today by Saia Motor Freight Senior Vice President of Operations and Sales Tony Albanese. Taking new posts recently were Miguel Cejas, promoted to terminal manager in Mobile, AL, Glenn Foster, named Oklahoma City, OK terminal manager, and Chad Garland to head the terminal in Johnson City, TN. Cejas, who started with Saia in 1989 as a dockworker, began driving in 1990 and became the outbound leadman in 1991. Last year, he began dispatching and heading up outbound. Earlier this year, Cejas took over the inbound and dispatching. He attends the University of South Alabama and studies at night working toward a degree in marketing and transportation. In Oklahoma City, Glenn Foster has been named terminal manager effective immediately. Foster has 11 years industry experience, serving eight years as terminal manager in five locations for American Freightways. The last three years, he was employed with Averitt Express in Oklahoma City, serving most recently as terminal manager. Foster is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University with a degree in business management. In Johnson City, TN, Chad Garland was named terminal manager effective July 3.Garland formerly worked with ABF for three years, where he began in a management-training program. He later took a position with USF Dugan, working in Florence, SC and Knoxville, TN. Garland is a graduate of East Tennessee State University where he received a degree in marketing. He is married and has one son. Garland will be relocating to Johnson City, TN in what he describes as a “homecoming” because that’s where he was born and reared. “The promotion of Cejas and the experience of Foster and Garland will provide added strength to our terminal operations in these three cities,” said Albanese.
