Saia Quality Manager to Present at ACC Annual Conference

Emmons has over 25 years in the transportation industry with ten years of experience in management system implementation. Her presentation will offer conference attendees advice and insight on what they can expect during the certification process and how they can better prepare to make the process a success. Emmons spearheaded Saia's most recent certification efforts. At present, nine Saia facilities have been certified RC14001® during the first phase of the company's planned certification process. RC14001® combines the requirements of both implementing the Responsible Care Management System and the International Standards Organization (ISO) 14001:2000 certification. It builds on the ISO standard and stipulates meeting 27 additional requirements. Saia's decision to pursue the RC14001® demonstrates their dedication to both social and corporate responsibility.
