DULUTH, GA - August 4, 2007 - Leading less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier Saia, Inc. (NASDAQ:SAIA) has been recognized by Logistics Management magazine as a 2007 Quest for Quality Award winner. Saia took first place for "Value" in the Multi-regional LTL Carriers segment for the second year in a row. This is the third year Saia has earned an award having garnered Quest for Quality accolades in 2003 and 2006. The 2007 Quest for Quality Award winners will be honored on October 24 at an awards dinner during the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals Annual Conference in Philadelphia. The following Saia employees will represent the company at the dinner: The Quest for Quality Awards, regarded as the most prestigious customer satisfaction survey in the transportation industry, are given to providers of transportation and logistics services who earn the highest scores across a list of critical service criteria. The awards are determined by readers of Logistics Management who must be qualified buyers of logistics and transportation services. These readers evaluate the companies and choose the top performers in each category. In order to earn honors, a carrier must rank above average in each of the following categories: On-Time Performance, Value, Information Technology, Customer Service and Equipment & Operations.
