Saia Opens Second Terminal in Chicago Metro
DULUTH, GA - October 9, 2006 - Saia, Inc. (NASDAQ: SAIA) has announced the addition of a second terminal in the Chicago metro area, expanding the less-than-truckload carrier's terminal network to 129 facilities. Based on a 24% shipment increase over the previous year, the new terminal was added to strengthen service to Midwest customers. The facility is located at the junction of Interstates 57, 80 and 294. The terminal will have 67 doors, adding vital capacity to the market as well as 7,000-square-foot of office space and will initially begin operations with nearly 60 employees.
