Saia Expanding Operations in Jackson, TN
DULUTH, GA - July 13, 2006 - Less-Than-Truckload carrier Saia has announced operations have moved to a new terminal location in Jackson, Tennessee due to business growth in the region. The terminal opening gives the carrier extended service opportunities in its vital southern and central U.S. markets. The facility will sit on 10 acres, versus the former location, which was housed on two acres. The new, more modern facility features an expanded and state-of-the art dock with an additional eight doors and much-needed office space. Saia representatives say the move comes as a result of growth in the West Tennessee market.
