Saia Builds Terminal Management Team
DULUTH, GA - June 14, 2006 - Less-Than-Truckload carrier Saia continues to build its terminal manager network through strategic employee announcements. Veteran employee Dan DeSouza has been promoted to Terminal Manager of the carrier's Denver, Colorado facility. He was most recently manager of the terminal in Springfield, Missouri. DeSouza has 10 years experience with Saia and Clark Bros. A native of Littleton, Colorado, DeSouza studied Accounting and Economics at the University of Colorado. Also, Shane Newman has been promoted to Terminal Manager of the Eugene, Oregon facility. He has more than 17 years LTL experience in terminal operations, management and sales. He has been with Saia for four years and was most recently Dock Supervisor in the company's Portland, Oregon facility. Additionally, Dave Helmer has been promoted to Terminal Manager of the Portland, Oregon facility. Helmer has more than 15 years professional experience. He began his career with Action Express and was most recently Terminal Manager of Saia's Eugene, Oregon facility. Helmer earned his Associates Degree in Applied Sciences from ITT Technical Institute. New employee Steve Ranger has been named Terminal Manager of the Odessa, Texas facility. Ranger has more than 11 years professional experience in sales, terminal supervision and management. He earned a Bachelors Degree from Texas Tech University. Also, new hire Bob Swaim has been named Terminal Manager of the Raleigh, North Carolina facility.
