Saia Names California Terminal Management

DULUTH, GA - March 3, 2006 - Less-Than-Truckload carrier Saia has promoted Operations Manager Mike Eley to terminal manager of the company's Orange, CA facility. Ralph Velasquez, also an Operations Manager, has been promoted to terminal manager of the Los Angeles, CA facility.

Eley will relocate to Saia's Orange County location from the Los Angeles terminal. Over a 21-year career in the transportation industry, he has gained extensive experience in the operations of LTL trucking.

A native of Huntington Beach, CA, Eley attended Long Beach State University. He and his wife, Deenna, have three sons: Noah, Joshua and Micah.

Velasquez has extensive qualifications from his 18 years in the freight industry. A native of Corona, CA, he and his wife have five children and one grandchild.

"Combined these two employees bring nearly four decades of experience to their new positions, providing added strength to our Los Angeles area terminal operations team," said Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations Tony Albanese.
