Saia Names Lower San Diego Terminal Manager
DULUTH, Ga. - October 1, 2004 - Less-Than-Truckload carrier Saia, Inc. has named Tom R. Lower Terminal Manager of the company's San Diego, California facility. He will transfer from Phoenix, Arizona, where he worked most recently as a sales representative. Lower has extensive LTL experience in terminal operations and management from his twenty-eight years in the transportation industry. Lower attended the University of Akron and the University of Maryland and served four years in the U.S. Navy. A native of Ravenna, Ohio, he has a daughter, Sarah, who is attending San Diego State University and a son, Derek, who is attending Grossmont Community College. "The promotion of Tom Lower will provide added strength to our terminal operations and management team," said Saia Senior Vice President of Operations Tony Albanese, in making the appointment.
