Saia, Inc.® Awarded Telly for Training Video
DULUTH, GA - September 24, 2004- Foremost less-than-truckload (LTL) company Saia, Inc. was recently presented with a finalist prize during the 25th Annual Telly Awards. Telly awards honor outstanding local, regional and cable television commercials and programs and the finest in video and film productions. Saia garnered the commendation for the training video, Line Haul Logging. Founded in 1979, Telly Awards are given to the best work of respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators and corporate voice departments. The Telly Awards is a widely known and highly respected international competition. Saia Director of Training Richard Pincus said that various dock supervisors and claims prevention personnel served as subject matters for the self-produced, award-nominated video production. Regional safety managers, terminal personnel and city drivers were utilized in the video, which will be made available to the company's 127 terminals for use in dockworker training. Albanese said the award signifies the solid work undertaken by corporate training personnel.
