Bernie Benard Named Regional Operations and Sales Manager
Brian Balius, Vice President of Operations for Saia, Inc. announced the appointment of a Regional Operations and Sales Managers. Bernie Benard will assume responsibility for the newly created Chicago Region. Benard graduated in 1975 from the College of Advanced Transportation. Over a 30-year career in the transportation industry, he has held numerous operations positions such as vice president of operations, group operations manager and division manager for other Midwest carriers. In his new position, Benard will be responsible for the Chicago Region consisting of Chicago, Cedar Rapids, Milwaukee and Minneapolis terminals. "We are extremely pleased that Bernie chose to join our organization," said Balius. "I have great confidence in his ability to provide added strength to our operations."
