Saia Awarded The "2003 R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company's
Less-Than-Truckload Quality Partnership Award"

Duluth, GA – Saia, a wholly owned subsidiary of SCS Transportation, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCST) has been awarded the "2003 R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company’s Less-Than-Truckload Quality Partnership Award" in ceremonies held recently at the RJR Plaza Auditorium in Winston-Salem, NC.

In order to be selected for the honor, Saia met or exceeded RJR’s performance qualifications in the areas of:
  1. Total shipments delivered on time
  2. Lowest number of claims and unresolved claims, and
  3. Activity reports received on time
R. J. Reynolds Vice President of Supply Chain Management Harvey W. Freeman Jr. and R. J. Reynolds Director of Global Transportation John Sapp presented the award to Saia Vice President of National Accounts Terry Ryan and National Account Executive Darlene Boyce.
