Saia Adds E-Billing & E-Payment Options To Web Site

Saia customers wanting to eliminate extra paperwork can now get a copy of their Saia invoice online, simply by going to Saia’s Web site at www.saia.com and requesting a copy. The e-billing option is the latest Web site interactive feature on Saia’s Web site.

"Saia is committed to providing the highest level of customer service and satisfaction," said Saia Vice President of Marketing and Customer Service Sally Buchholz. "We are dedicated to emphasizing quality improvements within all our operations. No longer are customers reliant solely on printed invoices. Now their bill is just a click away."

The new Saia e-billing option offers Web site visitors an easy alternative as a part of an ongoing effort to provide customers with a series of interactive functions. By simply selecting the Saia Secure section of the Web site, customers will see the e-billing option. Clicking on the e-bill option will take them to their statements. And, the feature is automatic after the first use. Once the option has been accessed, customers will receive their bills automatically in a PDF format in their electronic mail box. Also available on line is a frequently asked question segment about e-billing.

And for those customers who would like to go a step further and pay their bills on line, after which viewing their invoice, Saia now offers electronic payment. Pre-qualified customers can take advantage of this option. Your Saia sales representative will be happy to provide information about qualification guidelines to customers who would like to exercise this option.

"The e-billing and payment options will provide numerous customer benefits," said Buchholz. Those include:
    Reduced cost
    Customers will be able to reduce invoice-processing costs with fewer paper transactions. Also, manpower costs will be reduced because of a streamlined-payables process, and there is no cost to use the function available on the Saia Web site.

    Customers will be able to view their invoices immediately. And they will be able to receive a detailed statement in moments and make payments with quick click and pay access. Using the e-billing feature also shortens invoice cycle time in order to meet discount terms.
    Improved control
    Saia customers will have the ability to immediately forward an electronic invoice to other members of their company when necessary.
    Free
    There is no cost associated with these features.

    Payments on line are secure, arrive on time and are accurate as well as saving postage, paper and time. And the flexibility of making payments as needed provides an additional benefit.
    Flexibility
    The flexibility of scheduling and making payments on line when needed, in an easy format.
    Record keeping
    Customers who want to keep an electronic file of their invoices and when they make their payments will find this method is easy to file and easy to access. The record will always be a click away and will provide a payment history in an electronic format.

All a customer needs to retrieve their bills electronically is Adobe Acrobat Reader. If that program is not one of the programs in use by the customer, the software may be obtained free by clicking on www.adobe.com, which is a link on the Saia Web site.

Customers who would like Saia Secure access may select the lower right hand corner of the Saia Web home page and click on "Need A Password?"

Buchholz encourages customers to take advantage of both the timesaving features of e-billing and e-paying options.

There are more than 50 interactive features on the Saia Web site. Other features include pick up requests, customized reports, service reports, shipment notification by e-mail, imaging, claim filing, tracking and tracing, status reports, rate quotes, direct point listings, terminal maps, transit time calculator, Customer Service Indicators̉ by customer and bill of ladings.
