Saia Receives 2002 Choice Carrier Partner Award
Saia has been presented with the 2002 Choice Carrier Partner Award from Miller Electric Company. The award was presented to Saia Los Angeles Sales Representative Bill Jernigan in ceremonies recently at Miller Electric Company in Los Angeles. The criterion for selection was based on Miller's quality carrier program, and included scoring on 8 points during a 12-month period. Monthly scores were totaled to achieve overall results. In order to be a choice carrier partner for Miller, a carrier must maintain an average score of 90-94 or above for the 12 month period. Saia scored 95 or higher to earn top honors. Criteria included points for on-time shipments, pick-up performance, late pick ups, the overall number of freight bills, billing accuracy, claims free, and others. Saia rated either excellent or good on all categories over the 12 months. "Reviewing the award criteria and scoring so well also provides further validation of the benefit of our Customer Service Indicator® program, he added."
