Saia To Open Two Additional Colorado Terminals
The May 12th opening of two new terminal locations in Colorado – Grand Junction and Pueblo –along with the existing terminal in Denver, will now allow Saia to cover all direct points throughout the state, according to President and CEO Rick O'Dell. "We are excited about our new Colorado locations," said O'Dell. "These expansions provide opportunities for us to add complete coverage of the entire state and our team of dedicated employees will have an ongoing goal of providing superior customer service to shippers throughout this area." Colorado and 19 other states throughout the Saia system have full state coverage, O'Dell said. "With our 111 strategically placed terminals, we deliver 90 percent of our shipments in two days or less and we continually work to improve our on-time service. We have an on-going goal to provide a high level of service and customer satisfaction," he said. Saia measures six primary indicators developed as the result of in-depth research from customers making transportation buying decisions. Those six indicators, referred to as Saia’s Customer Service Indicators®, (CSIs) include, in addition to on-time delivery and on-time pick-up, claims-free shipment percentage, claims settled within 30 days, proof of delivery (POD) turnaround and invoicing accuracy. Saia is the only carrier in its class to publish a Customer Service Indicator index, making those results available to its customers.
